Drones or unmanned aircraft are the future but the rules and regulations already made, need serious changes to turn this dream into reality. To make it a reality, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has submitted two sets of rules changes to the Office of Management and Budget on 5th of October. The OMB has 90 days to review them before this rule is published so we can expect that it will be done before the end of 2020 a year that will never be forgotten.
In this scenario, the several groups have worked collaboratively with both the government and the agencies to safely integrate the unmanned aircrafts to the national space. This is important as it needs to integrate without causing any harm to the manned aircrafts, or future UAS commerce. Since unmanned aircraft are as revolutionary as the original Air Mail system.
At this time, there are only three industries or companies who are allowed to conduct unmanned delivery to the destination and these companies are UPS Inc., Wing and Amazon Prime Air. The Amazon Prime Air is allowed to perform action in August and it must be praised so other companies can understand that it is safe to use drones for shipping.
For the working of such drones, there are two basic schools of thoughts. Some think that there must be a separate route for these unmanned and manned vehicles while others think that drones must be integrated with the current airspace and manned aircrafts. It seems that the FAA wants a segregated system of aviation.
If there is a separate route and system for these drones then the current operations will be affected and will have less benefits for the new users. In this regard there must be an integrated system which will interlace the current manned and upcoming unmanned aircrafts. For this purpose, there should be a strong and proper integration system for both sides through the use of the latest technology, especially in unmanned aircrafts, to avoid any sort of collision.
